SUMMARY:Combined CPR and First Aid Course
DESCRIPTION:Penn MERT will host a Heartsaver CPR First Aid class on Friday\, December 7th at 2pm in Stouffer Mayer (3817 Spruce) Mayer Play Room (first floor just past the guard station). All are welcome to attend! \nThe training should last between 2 and 3 hours (but budget 3 hours to be safe). You will learn how to deal with a range of emergencies — such as cardiac events\, breathing problems\, or allergic reactions — including how to perform adult\, infant and child CPR with AED and how to treat conscious and unconscious choking victims. The class results in a 2-year certification in Heartsaver CPR First Aid from the American Heart Association and cost $45 per person. \nSome Penn departments provide this course to their staff\, so respond accordingly below.
