CPR and First Aid are invaluable skills that MERT believes everyone should know. Saving lives is not just for EMTs; in the case of a life-threatening emergency, immediate response is crucial. That means that you can help! The more people who learn CPR and First Aid, the safer we all are. This is a great reason to take a CPR or First Aid class!
MERT offers CPR and First Aid classes for laypeople and CPR classes for healthcare providers. Each CPR or First Aid class lasts about 3 hours. A combined CPR/First Aid class lasts about 6 hours. In CPR classes, you will learn about compressions, rescue breathing, and defibrillation. In First Aid classes, you will learn how to respond to emergencies including allergic reactions, chest pain, and bleeding.
MERT CPR and First Aid classes are led by AHA-certified instructors who are passionate about both teaching and helping people. The MERT instructors can promise you an enjoyable, informative class.
MERT arranges certification courses for individuals as well as for groups. If you are interested in registering for a course or have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
About 2-4 weeks after each MERT class, you will receive a certification card from the American Heart Association through the mail. The card is valid for 2 years. If you need a certification card sooner, please ask your instructor or email email@example.com.
